our optical communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.this segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
role purpose
provide engineering expertise to establish processes and procedures to promote an efficient manufacturing operation, support the selection and improvement of equipment and processes, to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
key responsibilities
* develop product routings (system)
* bom creation (system)
* use lean tools to improve performance
* participate in continuous improvement projects
* line balancing
* is able to use cad (autocad)
* productivity, efficiency and performance metrics
experiences/education - required
education.
* bachelor's degree in an engineering field or equivalent
work experience.
* 2 - 4 years of experience in similar roles (lean engineer / industrial engineer / process engineer)
experiences/education - desired
* fluent english
* excel
* sap knowledge (inventories, consumption, bom's, routings, etc.)
* good presentation and communication skills
* leadership
* cad knowledge (autocad preferred)
