(overview):
- the strategic sourcing specialist is responsible for negotiating contracts, improving processes and reducing overall total cost of ownership.
this role will also be creating category strategies while compiling and analyzing statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives/strategies.
analyzing suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect price and determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meeting required schedules.
review proposals, negotiate prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyze trends, approve order placement, and maintain necessary records.what we need & what you'll do (responsibilities):
contract management:
- lead the contract negotiation process, negotiating pricing, key terms,
service level requirements, key performance indicators (kpis), and
other performance metrics
- manage the contract review process, obtaining the appropriate
approvals prior to execution
- maintain contracts for the assigned categories within the contract
management tool on a continuous basis
strategy:
- develop and consistently execute category strategies across the
assigned categories in support of achieving overall savings targets
- analyze category markets; assess risk, gathering intelligence on
fundamental conditions and technical information that impacts the
category.
develop sourcing strategies and category strategies based on
market intelligence gathered
- perform total cost of ownership evaluations, perform supply-market
research and conduct pricing and impact analysis
who you are (qualifications):
- bachelors degree or equivalent experience, csmp, csp certifications, procurement
- 3-5 years' experience in procurement or strategic sourcing
- experience in supplier sourcing and eauctions
- contract management tools experience (full cycle -clm products)
- change management experience
