ecolab is seeking a driven sales development manager to join the commercial pest control sales team working across the xxxxx areas. As a sales development manager you will build and grow profitable client relationships with commercial businesses to protect their brand, their facilities, and the health and safety of their employees and customers. You will drive sales and attain budget goals by leveraging prospecting, cold calling and networking skills to target restaurants, hospitals, hotels, retailers, food and beverage plants, schools, and nursing homes to offer the most effective b2b pest elimination programs.

what you will do:

7. prospect and obtain customers to achieve annual new business sales goals
8. discover sales opportunities and implement sales strategies
9. partner with our service team, corporate account team, and inter-company partners to implement best practices to solve customer’s pest problems
10. build rapport and cultivate relationships with customers and co-workers through professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
11. provide outstanding customer service by leading and educating customers throughout the sales process
12. keep informed of ecolab product / service offerings and industry conditions to enhance successful customer outcomes
13. maintain an accurate sales funnel detailing each account from prospecting through the supporting phase
14. adhere to company ohs policies, procedures and rules and follow safe work practices.
15. ensure full compliance with all applicable regulatory and corporate standards.

position details:

16. candidate must reside in: cities/area
17. route territory will include: cities/area
18. work week and shift: details (including weekend rotation, if applicable)

minimum qualifications:

20. bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
21. must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable record
22. experience working in b2b commercial sales or experience working at ecolab
23. experience solving problems to determine customer solutions
24. negotiation experience
25. experience presenting information to customers


preferred qualifications:

26. previous customer service and/or sales development experience
27. ability to sell value-added products to existing customers
28. previous pest elimination industry or route experience preferred
29. ability to plan and prioritize workload with limited supervision, field work experience
30. excellent organizational and time management skills
31. proven relationship management and consulting skills
32. strong self-motivation & drive for results
