Job description (position summary)the inbound & outbound supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily warehouse operations across multiple processes (receiving, put away, picking, packing). This role ensures sla compliance, cost efficiency, service optimization, and operational excellence throughout the consolidation warehouse processes. The supervisor supports logistics & quality strategies, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, 3pl partners, and internal stakeholders. The position plays a key role in operation cost management and warehouse performance while maintaining high service standards and operational compliance. Key responsibilities (main objectives) an inbound and outbound supervisor in a fast fashion environment must combine high-volume warehouse execution, speed, accuracy, and strong floor leadership in a fast-paced distribution center. The operation is driven by rapid inventory turnover, aggressive peak seasons, and tight service-level commitments, where operational efficiency directly impacts profitability and customer satisfaction. Operational execution & volume control: lead daily inbound and outbound warehouse operations in alignment with freezing forecast and real-time demand. Monitor volume deviations above or below 10%, analyze root causes, and implement immediate corrective actions to maintain productivity and service levels. Warehouse floor leadership: provide hands-on supervision across receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, packing, and shipment activities. Ensure labor allocation is optimized according to workload and operational priorities. Performance & kpi management: drive operational performance through strict monitoring of kpis such as productivity per labor hour, inventory accuracy, picking accuracy, order cycle time, dock-to-stock time, and sla compliance. Take proactive actions to close performance gaps. Cross-functional alignment: collaborate closely with inventory control, and customer service teams to ensure smooth workflow, minimize operational disruptions, and support fulfillment targets. Continuous improvement & process optimization: identify bottlenecks and non-value-added activities within warehouse sub-processes. Implement lean methodologies (5s, line balancing, workflow optimization) to improve throughput, reduce errors, and enhance operational efficiency. Data-driven decision making: analyze operational data and trends to support workforce planning, capacity management, and peak season preparation. Provide clear performance reporting and actionable insights to management. Problem solving & escalation management: investigate operational discrepancies, service failures, and inventory variances. Lead corrective and preventive actions to ensure sustainable solutions and minimize recurrence. Systems & operational accuracy: ensure proper use of wms and erp systems to maintain real-time inventory accuracy, transaction integrity, and traceability throughout inbound and outbound processes. Compliance & operational standards: ensure adherence to company operational standards, safety regulations, sops, and lean practices to maintain a safe, efficient, and standardized warehouse environment. Kpis to be evaluated sla timelinessminimum education: bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Experience: minimum of 3 years of warehouse operations experience. Language proficiency: spanish / conversational english preferred technical skills: experience with erp systems and transportation management systems (tms). Proficiency in excel. Analytical skills: ability to analyze, identify trends, and develop cost and service optimization strategies. Problem solving: strong troubleshooting capabilities in work flow. Communication: strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional coordination and reporting. Leadership: demonstrated ability to lead initiatives, support change management, and make independent operational decisions aligned with company standards.
