position overview the process engineer ensures that all assigned processes have standard work procedures that guarantee: the safety of employees the quality of products high efficiency of processes productive capacity that meets delivery schedules location: agua prieta, sonora, mexico schedule: monday to friday, 6 am to 4 pm what you'll do guide projects, tasks and design direction by identifying areas of opportunity through process engineering principles to help the team establish proper decisions.
demonstrate independent judgment to determine adaptations in methods for non-routine aspects of assignments.
coordinate multiple small to medium (size, scope, complexity) projects concurrently.
assign project tasks and coordinates completion within project team.
perform safety process walks and implement effective countermeasures to identify risks, ensuring zero accidents due to process issues.
lead multidisciplinary teams to achieve process target efficiencies.
develop and maintain standard work procedures to achieve targeted efficiency, including packaging.
define and maintain cycle times for each operation and document them monthly.
support level 1 (lv1) process performance and document results (headcount, cycle times, rates, efficiencies, scrap %, rework %, etc.).
support flawless implementation of processes for new launches, passing lv1 with no major issues.
develop and maintain process failure mode and effects analyses (pfmeas) for each process and lead multidisciplinary teams in reviews to prevent poor quality costs.
conduct weekly process/gemba walks to ensure compliance with standard work and guidelines, identify opportunities and issues, document findings, and implement effective countermeasures.
validate and approve packaging design, specifications, and appearance for new packaging or equipment/tooling, in collaboration with the packaging center of excellence (coe).
lead and track engineering change notice (ecn) implementation on time and within budget.
lead and perform packaging trials and tests in collaboration with the packaging coe.
participate in defining optimal layouts and process flows for new equipment, tooling, or processes, including packaging, in collaboration with the industrial engineering (ie) coe.
lead productive capacity studies and validation for current or new processes.
support the development and implementation of best practice projects, lv2 events for new launches, special projects, and automation projects as needed.
remove any roadblocks preventing processes from achieving operational metrics.
communicate potential risks or major issues to the engineering site lead.
who you are engineering degree or equivalent at least 3 years' experience in process engineering required, 5 years' experience preferred at least 1 year of experience in a leadership role in the manufacturing industry at least 1 year of experience in project management strong analytical and problem-solving skills effective communication skills at all levels proficient planning and organizational skills ability to work independently results-oriented ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously high attention to detail willingness to travel (20%+) valid visa is preferred.
