Executive director of communications
we are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our communication strategy in mexico.
* define and lead communication strategy: aligning it with global objectives and adapting it to local needs, ensuring seamless integration across all channels.
* translate business goals into communication actions: setting annual communication objectives and converting them into concrete action plans with clear timelines and impact metrics.
* oversee corporate narrative: ensuring consistency and authenticity across all messages, fostering trust and credibility with stakeholders.
* analyze stakeholders and channels: optimizing communication actions to achieve maximum impact, leveraging data-driven insights.
* manage crisis communication: planning, execution, and coordination with agencies, media, and key stakeholders, mitigating risks and protecting the brand's reputation.
* represent the organization: defining and advising spokespersons for media, authorities, associations, and other strategic partners, showcasing the organization's values and mission.
* monitor public perceptions: adjusting strategies to strengthen the brand's reputation, driving positive change through effective communication.
* manage relationships: with property owners, investors, and other key partners, ensuring smooth and transparent communication, building lasting connections.
* lead press conferences and events: aligning with strategic objectives, generating buzz and excitement around the organization's initiatives.
* supvise content creation: high-impact content such as press releases, articles, speeches, and strategic materials through integrated campaigns, amplifying the organization's message.
* distribute content: across internal and external channels, including traditional media, digital platforms, social media, and public relations, maximizing reach and engagement.
required skills and qualifications:
* university degree: in communication and/or public relations. A master's in communication is highly valued.
* experience: over 5 years of experience in international communication environments, with a focus on the north american market, and at least 2 years of experience managing teams and budgets.
* language skills: advanced level of english, with excellent writing, speaking, and presentation skills.
* it skills: proficiency in office software and management systems related to digital marketing and communication, staying up-to-date with industry trends and tools.
* desirable: previous experience in the real estate and golf sectors, demonstrating expertise in these areas.
* willingness to reside: in tulum, mexico, with flexibility to travel as needed.
