job description
we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced metrology engineer to join our quality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing dimensional inspection processes, maintaining calibration systems, and ensuring compliance with industry standards to support automotive manufacturing excellence.
* operate and program cmm for current and new products.
* perform dimensional inspections of components and assemblies using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.
* develop and maintain calibration schedules for all measurement equipment.
* analyze measurement data and generate detailed inspection reports.
* support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
* collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure product compliance and resolve dimensional issues.
* maintain documentation in accordance with iso 9001 / iatf 16949 standards.
* train technicians in cmm measurements
* lead continuous improvement initiatives in measurement systems and processes.
qualifications
* bachelor's degree:
* metrology, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or related field.
* advanced english
* experience
* 3-5 years of experience in metrology in the automotive industry
* knowledge
* proficient in cmm programming (preferably pc-dmis or calypso).
* strong knowledge of gd&t (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing), blueprint reading and stack-up analysis.
* familiarity with iso 17025 and calibration standards.
* analytical mindset with attention to detail.
