position summary
we are looking for a foreign trade & customs compliance specialist to manage immex customs compliance operations and ensure adherence to mexican foreign trade regulations. This role is responsible for annex 24 & annex 30 administration, import/export compliance, government audits, and regulatory reporting within a manufacturing environment.
required qualifications
* english proficiency – fluent
* bachelor's degree in international trade, logistics, business, or related field.
* +7 years of experience in immex, annex 24 & annex 30 administration.
* strong knowledge of mexican customs law & foreign trade regulations.
* experience in manufacturing or maquiladora environment preferred.
key responsibilities
* administer annex 24 (zoe customs system) and annex 30 inventory control.
* ensure compliance with immex, sat, and secretaría de economía regulations
* manage iva/ieps certification renewals and foreign trade procedures.
* coordinate certificates of origin with suppliers.
* perform monthly pedimentos reconciliation and customs audits.
* monitor tariff preferences and foreign trade decrees.
* process transactions through ventanilla única and sat platforms.
* support governmental audits and compliance requirements.
* maintain customs databases, catalogs, and compliance reports.
* ensure compliance with import/export legal requirements and ims standards.
