the bell person (lobby attendant) is responsible for providing a warm welcome to guests, assisting with their luggage, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable check-in experience. This role involves delivering excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized lobby, and providing information about the hotel and local attractions. The ideal candidate will be hospitable, efficient, and possess great communication skills.
key responsibilities:
* greet guests upon arrival and departure with a friendly and professional demeanor.
* assist guests with their luggage, including transporting to and from guest rooms and vehicles.
* provide guests with information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
* ensure the lobby and entrance areas are clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
* assist with valet and parking services as needed.
* maintain a thorough knowledge of hotel policies and procedures, as well as local points of interest.
* handle guest requests and inquiries promptly and efficiently.
* coordinate with housekeeping and front desk staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
* assist in delivering messages, packages, and mail to guests as requested.
* report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to management immediately.
qualifications:
* high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
* previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is a plus.
* excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* ability to lift and maneuver heavy luggage (up to 50 lbs).
* strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* knowledge of the local area and attractions is a plus.
* must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
* must have an active driving license.
