*key responsibilities*:
- design, develop, and test embedded systems for remote-operated dredging and pumping equipment.
- collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to integrate embedded systems into industrial equipment.
- develop firmware and software for microcontrollers and processors used in embedded systems.
- perform system-level testing and debugging to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- create detailed documentation for system designs, including schematics, firmware, and user manuals.
- participate in the entire product lifecycle, from concept to production and beyond.
- ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
*qualifications*:
- bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
- proficiency in programming languages such as c/c++ and familiarity with assembly language.
- experience with microcontrollers, microprocessors, and digital signal processors (dsps).
- knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., uart, spi, i2c, can).
- strong understanding of embedded system design, including hardware and firmware development.
- experience with real-time operating systems (rtos) and embedded linux is a plus.
- familiarity with pcb design and layout tools.
- excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- strong written and verbal communication skills.
*preferred qualifications*:
- experience with remote-operated vehicles (rovs) or unmanned systems.
- knowledge of sensor integration and data acquisition systems.
- experience with control systems and automation.
- understanding of power management and energy-efficient design in embedded systems.
Experience with agile development methodologies.
