shipping to ensure the timely and efficient receipt and delivery of material.the role will also design packaging solutions for internal logistics processes to ensure part preservation is maintained at doestablish packaging and processing specifications at the part number level for new product/sourcing introductions, cost savings, or other supply chain improvementcommunicate with existing facilities on packaging issues related to receiving, warehousing, and/or line side deliveryperform cost analysis on current packaging processes and recommend changes where appropriatelead green belt projectsperform activities to ensure parts are protected, shipped, and delivered to the customer in a usable fashion.including:develop packaging solutions to protect finished painted componentsdesign for transport efficiencyperform containerization analysis, testing, and quotingvalidate new packaging and containers during pilot phasecoordinate with operations for storage and ergonomic considerationdevelop kitting packagingvalidate returnable quantities through simulationsresolve safety and / or quality issues caused by current packagingresolve issues reported by customers and process partnersdevelop, communicate and maintain supplier packaging requirementsaudit conformance to packaging specificationjoint process improvement with packaging vendors and purchasingcreate packaging concepts using 3d modeling software (i.e. Pro-e)customers include logistics, operations, facility engineering, quality, purchasing, and other supply chain functional areas.external contacts include global packaging vendors and product suppliers.education requirementbachelor of science degree in packaging, manufacturing, mechanical, industrial, or relevantadvance englishpackagingwhat
