Maintenance and engineering leadership role
the position of maintenance and engineering manager involves overseeing the planning, coordination, and direction of engineering and maintenance functions within an industrial plant. This includes ensuring asset reliability, executing capital projects, and supervising technical services.
key responsibilities include leading maintenance programs, driving continuous improvement, fostering safety and sustainability, and participating in strategic planning to enhance operational efficiency.
key responsibilities:
* plan and coordinate engineering and maintenance operations to ensure optimal asset availability, reliability, and efficiency.
* recruit, develop, motivate, and evaluate technical staff, promoting a culture of performance and growth.
* implement maintenance systems aligned with total productive maintenance (tpm) and reliability-centered maintenance (rcm) principles.
* lead tpm pillar implementation, including autonomous and planned maintenance, and skills development.
* evaluate and execute engineering projects for infrastructure, safety, automation, and digitalization improvements.
* manage budgets and ensure cost efficiency and roi on projects.
* ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.
* establish and monitor key performance indicators (kpis) such as mean time between failures (mtbf), mean time to repair (mttr), overall equipment effectiveness (oee), and asset availability.
* coordinate root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
* oversee computerized maintenance management system (cmms) data integrity and maintenance actions.
* monitor equipment condition using predictive maintenance techniques.
* ensure scheduled maintenance during shutdowns without disrupting operations.
* review and approve contracts with maintenance and technical service providers.
* participate in operational excellence initiatives and continuous improvement.
* manage global engineering and sustainability initiatives.
* maintain critical parts inventory and manage technical stock.
* implement and monitor business continuity plan (bcp) and crisis protocols.
* represent the area in audits, addressing findings and improvements.
* establish technical standards and procedures aligned with industry and company policies.
* manage technical training, certification, and knowledge transfer within the team.
requirements:
* bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering or related field.
* at least 8 years of leadership experience in industrial plants.
* knowledge of tpm, rcm, cbm, lean, six sigma, and project management.
* proficiency in maintenance tools (cmms, sap pm).
* strong analytical, leadership, and execution skills.
* advanced english proficiency.
