about you

about the role
* senior compliance specialist — you will play a key role in ensuring cargosprint adheres to internal policies and industry standards. You will join our compliance team, report to the legal operations manager, and be responsible for leading and managing internal and external audits, enhancing audit programs, and supporting compliance team initiatives.
what you'll do
* manage internal and external audits end-to-end
* develop and propose the company’s annual compliance audit plan
* design, implement, and improve the company’s audit program and compliance workflows
* perform scheduled and unscheduled compliance audits in accordance with the audit plan, evaluating adherence to regulations, internal policies, and accreditation standards, and audit internal systems, controls, and procedures to identify strengths and vulnerabilities
* build and maintain an internal audit calendar aligned with business and regulatory priorities
* create reports and present audit results to technical and non-technical audiences, including the executive team
* collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement corrective action plans
* support vendor management by reviewing third-party audit reports and conducting assessments
* assist in internal risk assessments and track compliance across multiple frameworks
* maintain documentation and evidence repositories for compliance audits
qualifications
* bachelor’s degree required; ideally in business administration, compliance, finance, or a related field
* 3-5 years of experience in compliance, auditing, or risk management
* strong knowledge of key regulatory and industry frameworks (e.g., fcpa, soc2, pci dss)
* experience with scalable audit programs and improving internal processes
* familiarity with compliance software and documentation tools
* excellent analytical, problem-solving, and verbal/written communication skills
* high ethical judgment and attention to detail
* ability to work in a dynamic, startup-mode environment
* certifications in compliance or auditing are preferred but not required
* fluent in english and spanish
