1. Entity leadership & governance
* lead the formation, integration, and stabilization of the newly consolidated mexican entity.
* define governance, kpis, operating rhythm, and reporting standards in alignment with global leadership.
* ensure full legal, fiscal, labor, safety, and environmental compliance in mexico.
* serve as the senior legal, operational, and strategic representative of the organization in the country.
2. Operations & execution
* lead all mexico‑based engineering, project management, workshop, manufacturing, and supply chain activities.
* optimize utilization of the large manufacturing workshop for capital equipment and service projects.
* ensure on‑time, on‑budget execution of projects for oems and tier 1 customers.
* adapt the workforce and operational capacity according to demand, while maintaining quality and service levels.
3. Commercial & business development leadership
* own commercial performance for mexico, including sales, margins, and execution results.
* grow the services business (automation, controls, robotics, onsite support).
* scale the capital equipment business (custom automation systems, turnkey lines, integrations).
* act as executive sponsor for key mexican automotive oem and tier 1 customers.
* strengthen customer relationships and expand the organization's footprint across the automotive, industrial, and capital equipment sectors.
4. Financial management / p&l ownership
* full p&l responsibility covering sales, gross margin, cash flow, and execution.
* develop annual budgets, multiyear plans, and rolling forecasts.
* ensure correct fiscal flows with international entities through a structured subcontracting model.
* maintain strong local cost discipline while collaborating with centralized finance.
5. Organization design & talent leadership
* build a unified,high‑performance structure by integrating:
o engineering
o project management
o purchasing & supply chain
o workshop & manufacturing
o quality & safety
* identify capability gaps, recruit talent, restructure when needed, and retain high‑impact contributors.
* protect the stability and performance of the existing services organization while integrating new capabilities.
* lead cultural transformation with a clear operational and execution‑driven mindset.
6. Engineering & global integration
* leverage mexico engineering to support u.s. and global divisions.
* collaborate closely with cross‑border engineering, commercial, and operations teams.
* improve engineering cost competitiveness and increase international project participation.
7. Supplier development & supply chain optimization
* strengthen the mexican supply base for both local and international projects.
* develop suppliers in machining, fabrication, controls, and automation components.
* drive cost competitiveness, delivery performance, and compliance across the supplier ecosystem.
8. Group-level contribution
* position mexico as a strategic execution hub for global entities within the group.
* support cross‑division projects, driving cost synergies and operational excellence.
* contribute to group esg, safety, and operational performance initiatives.
the successful applicant
professional background
* senior industrial leadership experience as general manager, commercial director or operations director.
* proven expertise in automation, capital equipment, integration, robotics, industrial services, or heavy machinery.
* strong experience managing engineering, project execution, and workshop operations.
* full p&l ownership of a business unit (preferably 20m+ usd).
* experience selling to automotive oems and tier 1 suppliers in mexico.
* demonstrated ability to integrate or transform organizations.
technical skills
* strong engineering foundation (mechanical, electrical, controls preferred)
* deep knowledge of capital equipment lifecycles, custom automation systems, and industrial project execution.
* understanding of mexican labor, fiscal, and industrial regulatory environment.
leadership attributes
