About the Role
Our Client is seeking a Community Manager who lives and breathes social media and can build authentic connections with the fitness/lifestyle community. The role is highly focused on community engagement, copy writing, and trend spotting, not just posting content. Must align with brand voice, gym culture, and fitness lifestyle while being empathetic, professional, and fun. Needs someone who can work closely with the Social Media Coordinator and execute consistently with a strong organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Review the content calendar prepared by the Social Media Coordinator.
- Schedule and publish posts to ensure timely and consistent content across all channels.
- Write engaging captions that reflect the brand’s voice and grab attention.
- Respond to comments and DMs with empathy, professionalism, and consistency.
- Spark conversations, encourage participation, and highlight UGC and community stories.
- Work closely with the Social Media Coordinator to brainstorm fresh ideas.
Stay ahead of social trends, trending audios, and platform updates.
- Share community insights and feedback to guide future content strategies.
- Build strong relationships with loyal followers, ambassadors, and advocates.
Monitor conversations for opportunities and potential risks.
Handle sensitive issues with professionalism and care.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in community management, social media, or a related role.
- Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone and style to the brand voice.
Excellent communication skills — empathetic, engaging, and professional.
- Solid understanding of major social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) and community behavior on each.
- Familiarity with community management and scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Later, Sprout Social, Buffer).
- Ability to quickly identify and act on social trends, audios, and cultural moments.
- Comfortable analyzing engagement and community feedback to provide insights.
- Highly organized with strong time-management skills to balance scheduling, engagement, and brainstorming.
