position function & scope: this position is located in tlatlauquitepec, puebla, mexico. The human resources manager is responsible for leading the hr team and processes at the puebla site. This position is responsible for providing hr guidance and support to business leaders, leading organizational programs, and managing all processes associated with the employee life cycle in collaboration with the coes. As the hr business partner, this leader provides advice and counsel to business leadership, supervisors, and employees regarding policies, procedures, and employee relations, staffing and recruiting, and serving as the local advocate for organizational development initiatives. They also ensure facility compliance with all applicable company policies, state and federal laws.

this critical leader has responsibility for directing the functions of the following departments: labor relations, occupational medicine, payroll, contracting, and surveillance, ensuring they deliver the results necessary to maintain effective labor and union relations, resulting in improved business results for the puebla site. This manager is also responsible for the social responsibility management system and leader of the department's social responsibility and statistics control team. Leadership lead and be accountable for all human resources systems and processes at our puebla, mx site. Visibly role model del monte’s leadership behaviors as a player-coach within the puebla leadership team and del monte mexico hr team. Continuously leverage continuous improvement methodology with the local hr team and coes to increase efficiency and effectiveness of all hr processes. Assess the organizational health of the site, develop proposals, and lead actions that further the company’s targeted culture. Lead the development of succession plans for the puebla site. Conduct an overview of facility needs in training to ensure that managerial, administrative and technical training programs are identified and utilized. Point of contact for corporate level training to be coordinated and performed in the facility. Identify training gaps and develop action plans to address skill gaps across the workforce. Contribute to puebla’s food safety results as a member of the food safety committee.

recruiting & employee relations manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle – recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, coaching and counseling, discipline, terminations -- to maintain an effective qualified workforce to meet business objectives. Lead the puebla site through the annual performance review and employee development plan process. Monitor the training plan established by the ministry of labor and social welfare to ensure compliance with the law and the requirements of food safety audits. Responsible for formalizing employment terminations by following company approval policy. Maintain contact with employees to monitor employee morale and attitude. Work with managers to review and update job descriptions of site positions. Represent the company professionally in community activities, organizations, and industry functions.

labor relations establish and maintain a positive working relationship with the local union representatives and resolve any potential issues that may arise. Manage the grievance and arbitration process for those items that are not able to be resolved at the site level. Maintain improvement items associated with the collective bargaining agreement in preparation for participation in union negotiations. Ensure sound employee and labor relations practices are followed to comply with all company policies and applicable laws.

employee data & hris administration provide oversight and act as an administrator of employee data within the company’s hris platform. Guide and train employees and managers on how to process workflows within the hris platform. Act as a resource and partner to the corporate hris team.

secure facilities & grounds develop and implement site security policies and practices. Manage facility access and oversee security systems maintenance. Enforce security policies, respond to emergencies, and investigate incidents with corrective actions. Supervise, train, and develop security staff, ensuring 24/7 coverage and ongoing training. Ensure regulatory compliance, identify risks, and conduct security audits. Prevent theft and safeguard critical equipment and products. Develop emergency response plans and conduct preparedness drills. Maintain incident records and prepare reports for management and agencies.

employee health responsible for the social responsibility management system and team leader. Maintain “job hazard analysis” documentation. Audit site services confirming that employees receive adequate medical care, either through the company or through the mexican social security institute (imss), to minimize risks and staff absenteeism.

payroll ensure that staff receives benefits in accordance with the federal labor law and the collective bargaining agreement, applying the company's internal labor regulations. In partnership with coes, administer wage and benefit programs, communicate changes and updates as needed. Analyze and prepare wage and/or salary surveys and coordinate and develop the plant's recommendations. Ensure compliance with corporate policies regarding the proper completion of documentation and proper recordkeeping. Partner with the del monte mx payroll team to ensure that wages and benefits are paid accurately and on-time.

knowledge bachelor’s degree in human resources, social sciences, or related field of study. Professional hr certification is highly preferred. Bilingual, spanish and english required. Advanced skill of english preferred. 5 years of experience with progressive human resource responsibility. 2 years of experience in leading human resource teams preferred. Possess high moral standards with integrity in all decisions, honest in word and deeds. Promote dignity, fairness, and consideration among the organization. Understand both state and federal employment laws and regulations. Knowledge of the federal labor law and collective bargaining agreement. Knowledge of recruiting and contracting. Knowledge of imss guidelines. Knowledge of how to interact and transact with hris platforms. Workday and supernomina experience is preferred. Skills demonstrate leadership skills, particularly guiding reporting employees to approach their respective responsibilities in same manner. Translate vision and strategy into explicit plans and action. Rally support behind the vision. Inspire and motivate people to achieve high performance, rewarding and recognizing successes. Working knowledge and skill in implementing, enforcing and educating facility staff on state and federal employment and safety laws and regulations as well as company policy and procedures.
