we are searching for the best talent for *external communications manager*
*purpose*:
- implement communication strategies to drive business objectives of janssen mexico and brands
- contribute to build stakeholder trust and drive company's reputation
- implement communication strategies that inspire employee advocacy
- implement communication strategies in collaboration with patient associations
*you will be responsible for*:
contribute to achieving business objectives of key businesses, therapeutic areas and brands by supporting the development and implementation of strategic communication plans
- support the mexico communication leader and partner with the cvts (country value teams) on multiple brands to contribute to the development and implementation of communication strategies for brands as assigned, aligned to the regional business strategies.
- assess impact of communication strategies.
- partner with public relations agencies and other professional agencies supporting brands.
contribute to enhancing company reputation by building external stakeholder trust and advocacy through comprehensive, strategic, and integrated communication and public affairs plans
- support the country/cluster communication & public affairs leader in implementing communication efforts in the country/cluster to enhance dialogue with and engagement of key stakeholders and drive company reputation, in alignment with regional strategies.
- implement communication efforts in the country/cluster to drive dialogue and stakeholder engagement using digital media (ie, facebook page, twitter, etc).
- support the development and implementation of communication materials to reach external stakeholders, including presentations, letters, speeches, and other materials.
contribute to maintaining stakeholder trust through effective management of issues
- assist in the implementation of communication strategy for issues in mexico, including those arising from all brands commercialized in the country, as well as therapeutic areas and public policy that affect the country.
support and drive employee engagement and advocacy through powerful organizational communication
- implement internal communication strategies in mexico to heighten employee engagement, commitment to and understanding of local and regional business goals and strategies and company and enterprise mission.
- deliver on-time, high-quality internal messages, executive messages, video segments, content for all local internal communication channels, internal presentations and campaigns.
- implement new media mix and communication campaigns to support the country/cluster organizational communication efforts.
- implement a measurement approach to organizational communication in mexico, incorporating relevant metrics that are indicators of employee engagement.
- bring an innovative approach to content creation and storytelling that achieves an emotional connection with local audience, aligned and in partnership with regional communication.
support and drive patient advocacy initiatives
- foster productive and mutually beneficial working relationships with patient organizations, primarily in the field of our therapeutic areas and the business priorities.
- ensure strategic alignment with cvt leaders and board members.
- provide an acute understanding of the local policy trends for a strategic approach aligned to the business by identifying critical opportunities and risks for our ta's.
- promote the collaboration and alignment with other internal areas such as government affairs (ga), public affairs and communication (pa & comms.), and medical affairs (maf) to establish strategic connections between the janssen initiatives and the supported patient advocacy projects.
*qualifications / requirements*:
education and/or additional training: bachelors degree in communication, journalism, marketing, public relations or related field is required;
- experience and functional competencies:
- minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate and healthcare communications
- excellent written and verbal skills in spanish and english
- teamwork skills;
- demonstrated ability to produce quality results in a high pressure
- demonstrated ability to assimilate and operationalize strategic agenda into execution
