As a trade compliance analyst i here at honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. Your responsibilities will include managing import and export documentation, conducting internal audits, and providing support to internal stakeholders on trade compliance matters. By developing and implementing trade compliance policies and procedures, you will help minimize risks and avoid penalties related to import and export violations.

- prepare customs clearance documentation using information from warehouse and logistics areas.
- analyze each shipment to determine the appropriate customs regime.
- review and process foreign trade operations, including invoices, proformas, and related documents.
- maintain daily logs of operations and assigned customs entries (pedimentos).
- provide agents with required documentation (invoices, certificates of origin, automatic notices, etc.) for pedimento preparation.
- manage customs entry payments and ensure timely submission of documentation for scheduled clearance.
- verify compliance with legal requirements to avoid administrative fines, embargoes, or retentions, and support supervisors with special reports or assignments.
*you must have*
- 2+ years of experience in trade compliance, preferably in a multinational company
- strong knowledge of import and export regulations, including customs laws, export controls, and sanctions
- experience in managing trade compliance programs, including classification, licensing, and compliance audits
- excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and provide practical solutions
