Sr manager, finance
location: on site – juarez, nuevo león, mexico
this role serves as the principal financial advisor to the director of operations – sanimex and all key members of plant and operations leadership. As an overarching goal, this position ensures the delivery of meaningful, timely, and decision‐ready financial information that is used not only to run the business, but to continuously improve operational and financial performance across the vitreous business segment. This role is responsible for building and leading a high‐performing finance team that supports sanimex's three‐plant operating structure. and enable effective planning and decision‐making across manufacturing operations.
act as the primary financial advisor to the director of sanimex operations and plant leadership, providing clear, straightforward interpretation of financial results and business drivers.
analyze and quantify business activities, investments, and operational decisions using kohler co. financial methodologies, translating complexity into actionable insights.
provide proactive recommendations to plant management and supervision to improve financial and operational performance, cost structure, and profitability.
planning, budgeting & forecasting:
lead and coordinate the annual budgeting, standard cost maintenance, and capital planning processes for the sanimex vitreous business.
serve as a key contributor to strategic planning and long‐range business planning processes.
financial reporting & analysis:
maintain responsibility for financial information reporting, including coordination of the monthly accounting close, in accordance with kohler reporting formats, design attributes, and timelines.
monitor, analyze, and report monthly variances related to spending, production, inventories, absorption, and performance measures as required by operations finance.
analyze and report financial and operational performance versus standards, with clear explanations of root causes and corrective actions.
accounting, controls & compliance:
gaap, mexican statutory, tax, legal, and kohler co. requirements, applied consistently from period to period.
own a timely and documented balance sheet reconciliation process.
maintain and continuously enhance the system of internal controls for the business.
leverage feedback from internal and external auditors to identify, address, and remediate control weaknesses.
cooperatefully with internal audit in the execution of their responsibilities.
inventory & asset management:
work closely with materials and supply chain associates to ensure inventory control objectives and turn rate targets are met.
monitor inventory control procedures, including physical inventories and cycle counting.
maintain a perpetual inventory process for fixed assets, ensuring capitalization, tracking, and depreciation are accurate and compliant.
lead, develop, and supervise finance staff.
provide knowledge transfer, coaching, constructive feedback, and candid performance appraisal.
address performance or compatibility issues in a timely and professional manner.
promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth within the finance organization.
expect, model, and promote the same level of integrity across the finance team and broader plant functions.
bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
strong experience in manufacturing accounting and operational analysis.
sap financial reporting experience preferred.
bilingual (english / spanish) required.
