We are seeking a highly organized and proactive recruiter / hr generalist to support hr operations and lead recruitment efforts for a u.s.-based restaurant group. The ideal candidate has experience in full-cycle recruiting, hr coordination, employee relations, onboarding, and high-volume hiring. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential.
tasks and responsibilities
recruitment & talent acquisition
* develop and implement effective recruitment strategies for restaurant management, hourly roles, and support center positions.
* source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, and community partnerships.
* manage full-cycle recruiting: job posting, resume screening, interviewing, coordinating manager interviews, and facilitating offers.
* maintain a strong talent pipeline to reduce time-to-fill.
* track and analyze recruitment metrics and prepare hiring effectiveness reports.
* use ats and hris systems to manage candidate and employee data.
* represent the company at job fairs and recruiting events to strengthen employer branding.
* collaborate with marketing and operations to promote internal career growth.
hr operations & employee relations
* support employee relations activities, including investigations, culture checks, and follow-ups.
* maintain confidential communication with employees and managers regarding hr matters.
* assist with hr initiatives, policy implementation, and compliance across all locations.
* prepare staffing, new hire, termination, and compliance reports.
* support benefits administration, performance evaluations, and leave management.
onboarding & training
* coordinate and deliver onboarding/orientation for new hires.
* train and coach hiring managers on ats usage, interviewing, and onboarding processes.
* ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws throughout the hr lifecycle.
records management & compliance
* maintain personnel files, including status changes, disciplinary records, and performance reviews.
* respond to unemployment claims and employment verification requests.
* manage hr investigation files and ensure proper documentation.
* support new location openings with hr setup, compliance documentation, and onboarding.
* ensure compliance with internal policies, hr best practices, and labor regulations.
qualifications
* associate's or bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field (preferred).
* 2–4 years of combined experience in hr coordination and recruitment, ideally in the restaurant, hospitality, or service industry.
* strong knowledge of hr processes, employee relations, and full-cycle recruitment.
* proficiency with hris and ats systems.
* excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
* strong analytical ability and exceptional attention to detail.
* ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
* ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
