Job descriptionmobile crisis team staff for all shifts.essential job functionsprovide mobile crisis intervention to adults in louisville metro.assess the situation, engage and develop rapport, and de-escalate.de-escalate persons in crisis and determine immediate assistance needs.
assessments may occur in the community, at the individual's residence, etc.develop a crisis plan utilizing the individual's strengths and available community resources to resolve the immediate crisis.facilitate follow-up interventions with the individual.determine appropriate level of care during the crisis and arrange referrals.collaborate with law enforcement, families, other county departments, schools, healthcare providers, and community resources to coordinate crisis resolution and referrals.communicate pertinent information promptly to persons in crisis, dispatch, law enforcement, and other relevant parties, while respecting privacy and dignity.complete accurate, timely, and thorough documentation of all interventions during the shift.perform additional duties as assigned, including emergency coverage.foster a culture of openness and collaboration to ensure quality crisis assistance and accurate documentation.attend and participate in staff and team meetings.use a person-centered and trauma-informed approach in interactions.educationhigh school diploma or ged required; bachelor's or master's degree preferred.experienceminimum of one year in human services with a master's degree.minimum of two years in human services with a bachelor's degree in relevant fields.minimum of five years in human services without a degree.strong communication and interpersonal skills.knowledge of community resources.ability to make sound decisions in stressful situations.supervisory skills and team work ability.physical demandslifting up to 20 pounds; frequent lifting or carrying up to 10 pounds; significant walking or standing.exposure to potential threats, blood, bodily fluids, or tissues.may involve on-call responsibilities and flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends.valid driver's license required.additional informationthis is a full-time position.
