key responsibilities
- integrate hse processes and safe work practices into daily operations.
- implements hse&f standards with all hse regulatory and company requirements
- conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- lead hse initiatives and continuous hse improvement as an integrated business partner to support achievement of site goals.
- drive excellence and engagement in hse through management, leadership and employee involvement, worksite risk assessments, hazard prevention and control, and hse training
- deploy and manage health and safety initiatives to continually improve performance of programs and processes.
- provide new hire and annual/reoccurring employee hse training.
- submit annual federal, state, and local reports
- root-cause analysis and corrective actions for incidents
- identify emerging issues and track compliance obligations.
- support management of change through hse impact assessments of equipment and process changes.
- improve and maintain sites hse document control and records management systems.
- collect and analyze hse data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance performance.
- prepare and present reports to management, customers and regulatory agencies as required.
you must have
- bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
- 2+ years of experience in hse engineering.
- knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
