job summary:
*key responsibilities*:
- source and evaluate global suppliers to ensure best cost, quality, and delivery performance
- negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers
- review engineering drawings and specifications to determine procurement needs
- manage procurement process from rfq to purchase order issuance and delivery tracking
- collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet project timelines
- monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed
- maintain procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies
- identify and execute cost-saving opportunities
- ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid production delays
- support new product introductions and localization of parts
*requirements*:
- bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
- 2-4 years of experience in procurement, global sourcing, or supply chain
- strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- familiarity with erp systems (e.g., sap, oracle, etc.)
- proficient in microsoft office (excel, word, powerpoint)
- strong communication skills in english and spanish
- detail-oriented and well-organized
- ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- knowledge of international trade regulations is a plus
