we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced financial controller to oversee our financial operations in mexico. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing monthly and annual financial closings, ensuring accurate preparation of financial statements and effective cost control.
key responsibilities:
* oversee the preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns.
* ensure compliance with sat regulations and maintain strict adherence to mexican tax legislation.
* manage all aspects of direct and indirect tax compliance, including isr, iva, diot.
* lead the budgeting process, financial forecasting, and performance analysis to drive informed decision-making.
* proactively address inquiries, audits, and disputes from tax authorities to mitigate risks.
* execute ad hoc tasks and special projects as assigned by management to support organizational objectives.
requirements:
* bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, taxation, or a related field.
* minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in managing monthly and annual accounting closures within a manufacturing environment.
* strong, up-to-date knowledge of mexican tax law, including corporate income tax (isr), vat (iva), and payroll taxes/social security (imss, infonavit).
* proficiency in accounting software along with advanced skills in microsoft excel.
* fluent in business english with excellent communication skills and logical reasoning abilities.
