Job description:
- as a life cycle planner, you will be responsible for developing, integrating, and providing npi & ramp down forecasts for internal sales and operations planning. This dynamic role involves managing various data sets, including historical data, launch information, marketing plans, product cannibalization information, manufacturing capacity, and overall portfolio optimization information. You will play a crucial role in supply chain planning for new products and the products they will be replacing. Planning for proper product cannibalization / rationalization is just as important and planning for a well supplied npi launch.
- job title/high level position summary:
- develop npi demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation (demand plan segment, marketing groups) to support launch & first 12 months demand prior to transitioning to sustaining planning
- review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, review statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results in order to drive accurate ramp down forecast as part of npi cannibalization & product rationalization
- use and maintain the demand planning software as the primary forecasting system tool
- provide input to the supply & network planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs
- analyze demand across portfolio targeting declining families for potential eol - cross-functional work with marketing & sales ops
- manage & maintain lifecycle master data
- closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning
- prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to npi & eol planning
- expected to work on complex problems where analysis of situation or data requires a review of a variety of factors
- expected to present continuous improvement ideas.
- key responsibilities:
- minimum basic qualifications:
- bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 0-2 years of experience
- erp, kinaxis (or related advanced planning tool), microsoft office experience required
- strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- familiarity with demand forecasting methodologies and algorithms.
- ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- proficient in data analysis tools and software.
- knowledge of sales and operations planning processes.
- strong communication skills to convey complex information effectively.
- adaptable and open to learning new concepts and tools.
- travel requirements:
- 10-15%
