We are looking for an it support technician i to join our team in mexico. This is an on-site role focused on day-to-day it support for lionbridge employees. The position includes hands-on support for hardware, software, windows devices, user onboarding, inventory control, application installation, device setup, wiping and reconfiguration, and basic infrastructure tasks such as cabling, connectivity, and vlan changes. The role may also include occasional maintenance and support activities for servers and other it infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a practical approach to troubleshooting, a strong service mindset, and a solid understanding of basic it security practices.
what you will do:
* provide on-site and remote hardware and software support for lionbridge users
* prepare, configure, deploy, reimage, wipe, and reassign desktops, laptops, and it accessories following company standards
* install, configure, and troubleshoot business applications and standard user software
* support user onboarding and offboarding activities, including account setup, device preparation, and access-related tasks
* troubleshoot and resolve issues related to windows devices, peripherals, software, and connectivity
* assist with basic infrastructure activities such as cabling, workstation connectivity, port changes, and vlan updates
* perform device setup, configuration changes, and routine maintenance tasks for end-user equipment
* support inventory control and maintain accurate asset tracking records
* assist with occasional server and infrastructure maintenance under established processes and team guidance
* document technical procedures, support steps, and internal processes
* escalate more complex issues to the appropriate teams when needed
* follow it security practices in daily operations, including access handling, device control, patching awareness, and adherence to internal standards
to be successful you will have:
* 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in it support, desktop support, or technical support
* experience supporting windows devices, end-user hardware, and common business applications
* experience with device imaging, wiping, setup, reconfiguration, and software installation
* basic knowledge of networking concepts such as ip addressing, switching, cabling, ports, and vlans
* basic understanding of server support and maintenance activities
* basic understanding of it security practices and the importance of following security procedures
* experience with active directory and ticketing systems
* strong troubleshooting skills and a practical, hands-on approach
* strong customer service skills and the ability to work well with all levels of the organization
* ability to work independently and as part of a team
* understanding of itil fundamentals is a plus
