As we continue to expand globally, we’re seeking an experienced *ocean & air import/export specialist* to join our *cancún team*.
*what you’ll do*
- *coordinate shipments*: manage full-cycle ocean (fcl/lcl) and air import/export shipments, ensuring on-time and accurate delivery.
- *booking & tracking*: secure cargo bookings and monitor shipments from origin to destination, keeping stakeholders informed with timely updates.
- *documentation*: prepare and review all essential shipping documentation (b/l, awb, packing lists, certificates of origin).
- *customs compliance*: ensure strict adherence to customs regulations and international trade laws; collaborate with brokers for smooth clearance.
- *client communication*: act as the primary contact for clients, carriers, and agents, providing professional and proactive support.
- *invoice & cost control*: verify freight invoices, manage discrepancies, and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- *collaboration*: work closely with internal operations teams and external partners to maintain high service standards.
*what we’re looking for*
- *experience*: minimum *5 to 8 years* in freight forwarding, with solid experience in both ocean and air operations.
- *industry knowledge*: strong relationships with steamship lines, drayage vendors, and carriers.
- *customs & trade expertise*: solid understanding of *incoterms* and international logistics processes.
- *skills*: highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to perform effectively under pressure.
- *tech*: experience with *freight management systems* (an asset).
- *language*: fluent in *english and spanish* (french is an asset).
