Job summary
a mechanical commissioning engineer is responsible for the safe and effective installation of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements and relevant standards.
key responsibilities
* ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations for yourself and colleagues.
* perform mechanical commissioning tasks within assigned systems to guarantee efficient operation of equipment and functionality as specified and technically required.
* visual inspection of mechanical equipment and systems for accurate and complete installation, adequate cleanliness, and safe access, aligned with engineering documents such as p&ids and system descriptions.
* preparation of mechanical system site notes within the scope of supply, e.g., declaration as operational area after signed ecc.
* establishment of mechanical isolations according to the permit to work (ptw).
* clear communication of mechanical interfaces to other parts of the plant out of scope of supply.
* guarantee of compliance with specifications, good engineering practice, applicable codes, and legal requirements for the mechanical scope of works.
* preparation of mechanical commissioning related documentation including redline documentation and hand-over on time to commissioning management.
requirements
* bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, preferably with a focus on power or energy engineering.
* professional experience, intercultural awareness, and/or vocational training prior to the degree program are beneficial.
* familiarity with ms office applications.
* 100% availability for travel.
* flexibility and willingness to participate in national/international assignments.
* able to work independently with attention to detail. Strong team orientation, adaptability, and leadership skills.
* decisiveness and willingness to engage with other cultures.
* valid driver's license required.
* bilingual in english and spanish essential.
