the opportunity
we are looking for an ambitious and hardworking business analyst to support a fast, driven director of finance, who is pushing the boundaries and doing exciting things at a global identity and biometric start-up. The main tasks will include identifying process and system improvement opportunities by monitoring existent metrics, analyzing data, and collaborating with internal teams. This individual will enable effective decision-making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format. The role will also involve day-to-day support of the hosp's agenda and meetings.

responsibilities:
development of various types of financial models.
develop and follow-up on budget performance models and day to day expense analysis.
support in relevant financial transactions (funding, m&a, etc.)
investor report preparation and review of materials, including investment memoranda, management presentations, and pitchbooks.
create presentations for investor reports.
perform due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation of day-to-day transactions.
support the finance director
requirements:
* some industry experience ideal, either at internship or entry level
* strong interpersonal, written and oral skills with full proficiency in english
* at least intermediate knowledge of microsoft excel
* ability to deal with ambiguity and work independently with little supervision
* solid organizational skills, including prioritization and time management
* ability to dive deep and maintain incredible attention to detail
* confident, resilient, reliable and collegiate
* global mindset, understand time zones, cultural nuance and different working practices
* flexible and adaptable – a hands-on, can-do attitude is essential
* proactive, self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects
* flexible to provide some support out of hours and attend to unexpected issues at short notice
* ideal: advanced knowledge of tableau/power query, intermediate (e.g., vlookup) / advanced excel skills (e.g., write/edit vba), and a basic to advanced knowledge of sql (all join types, group by, order by, calculated columns).
