China Three Gorges Latam, a leading renewable energy company, is seeking an experienced Mergers & Acquisitions Manager to join our Mexico team. This role is critical in driving our growth strategy through the evaluation, structuring, and execution of investment opportunities across the country. The M&A; Manager will be responsible for financial analysis, transaction structuring, due diligence coordination, and the preparation of high-level materials for decision-making, ensuring alignment with CTG Latam’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Analysis & Documentation
- Assess investment opportunities and prepare high-quality analyses and reports.
- Review and analyze information from Teasers, CIMs, VDRs, financial statements, and other relevant sources.
- Draft transaction-related materials (presentations, reports, term sheets, LOIs, MOUs, SPAs, EPCs, PPAs, credit agreements, etc.) ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Guarantee timely access to information for stakeholders.
Financial Modelling
- Build, review, and enhance robust, flexible financial models for evaluating new opportunities, aligned with market, technical, tax, and accounting standards.
- Develop assumptions books, run sensitivities, and assess risk/return scenarios.
- Validate financial models prepared by third parties to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain updated financial models, incorporating the latest data, policies, and asset performance metrics.
Due Diligence & Transaction Execution
- Engage with advisors, negotiate fees, and manage relationships throughout the due diligence process.
- Oversee quality and timeliness of deliverables from external advisors, ensuring outcomes meet company standards.
- Participate in project meetings, site visits, and negotiations as required.
Strategic & Cross-Functional Support
- Provide transaction-related insights and support to other departments.
- Monitor market activity, sector trends, and macroeconomic developments relevant to CTG Latam’s M&A; strategy.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes and team effectiveness.
- Actively foster collaboration within a multicultural, high-performance environment.
Requirements
- University degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or related field.
- Postgraduate degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate M&A.;
- Experience in the power/renewables sector and structured finance.
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Strong drafting, presentation, and communication skills (English b2+ required).
- Demonstrated ability to work in multicultural environments with attention to detail, business acumen, and a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
