orano mining, in partnership with minesparis and kitware, has developed a software suite to simulate in situ recovery production. These tools, which are highly valuable for optimizing operations in kazakhstan and other mining projects, are used during study phases. As an r&d engineering intern in the rdi department of orano mining, you will join a team of geosciences and modeling experts, working with operational teams in mongolia and in collaboration with minesparis, on a project to develop a methodology for applying geometallurgy to in situ recovery. This study will involve analyzing laboratory leaching tests using reactive transport modeling software (hytec by minesparis). The main objectives are to synthesize test results to: i) characterize mineral behavior under different leaching conditions, ii) define geometallurgical units based on mineral characteristics and leaching behavior, and iii) establish criteria for uranium recovery efficiency in the studied deposit. This work supports the development of the zoovch ovoo mining project in mongolia and aims to provide recommendations for sampling and leaching tests, as well as operational methodologies for monitoring isr production at project startup.
