overview
the e-commerce manager for the caribbean region will be responsible for leading the digital strategy, online sales performance, and brand presence of mgm muthu hotels across all caribbean properties. This role will focus on driving direct bookings, maximizing revenue from online distribution channels, and ensuring optimal digital visibility in line with the company’s global strategy.
key responsibilities
* develop and implement the regional e-commerce strategy to increase direct bookings through the company’s websites and mobile platforms.
* optimize online distribution and manage relationships with otas, gds, meta-search engines, and third-party platforms.
* drive conversion rates by ensuring competitive pricing, dynamic promotions, and effective yield management in coordination with revenue management teams.
* monitor and report on key e-commerce kpis (bookings, adr, revenue share, roi).
digital marketing & branding
* collaborate with the corporate marketing team to design and execute online campaigns, seo/sem strategies, social media promotions, and loyalty initiatives targeting caribbean markets.
* oversee content management for caribbean hotel websites, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.
* manage digital assets including photography, video, and virtual tours to enhance online presence.
customer experience & engagement
* enhance the user experience of mgm muthu hotels’ caribbean websites and booking engines.
* develop and implement personalized email marketing, retargeting campaigns, and crm strategies.
* monitor guest feedback on online platforms (booking.com, tripadvisor, google, otas) and work with operations to ensure service improvements.
revenue & analytics
* analyze digital sales performance, online booking trends, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
* provide regular reports and actionable insights to senior management.
* work closely with finance, revenue, and operations to ensure e-commerce goals align with overall business objectives.
qualifications & skills
* bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, hospitality management, or related field (master’s preferred).
* minimum 3 years’ experience in e-commerce or digital marketing within hospitality, preferably with regional/multi-property exposure.
* strong knowledge of otas, crs, pms, channel managers, and booking engines.
* proven track record in driving online revenue and digital campaigns.
* excellent analytical skills with proficiency in google analytics, sem tools, and digital reporting.
* strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* ability to work across cultures and lead regional strategies.
* fluency in english & spanish required.
