What are we looking for?
The Sr IT Mgr Latam, LATAM is responsible for leading the execution of technology strategies across the region, ensuring alignment between business objectives and global IT initiatives. This role serves as the primary liaison between LATAM operations and the Global IT organization, driving technology enablement, business continuity, infrastructure reliability, cybersecurity compliance, and digital transformation initiatives.
The position is accountable for evaluating technology investments, managing key vendor relationships, leading cross-functional projects, and ensuring the effective delivery of IT services that support business growth and operational excellence throughout the region.
Key responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnership
* Partner with regional and global business leaders to align technology initiatives with organizational goals and operational priorities.
* Translate Global IT strategies into actionable regional plans that support business growth, scalability, and efficiency.
* Evaluate technology opportunities, business requirements, and investment requests, providing recommendations based on feasibility, risk assessment, and return on investment.
* Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, automation, and technology utilization across LATAM operations.
IT Operations & Business Continuity
* Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of critical business systems, infrastructure, networks, and end-user technologies.
* Oversee regional IT operations and coordinate internal and external resources to maintain business continuity and minimize operational disruptions.
* Monitor technology-related risks and collaborate with Global IT teams to implement mitigation and recovery plans.
* Support compliance with corporate IT policies, security standards, and governance requirements.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
* Manage relationships with external technology vendors, service providers, and implementation partners.
* Assess vendor performance, service quality, and cost effectiveness, providing recommendations to Global IT leadership.
* Act as the primary escalation point for regional technology issues and service delivery concerns.
* Build strong partnerships with regional stakeholders and Global IT teams to ensure alignment and execution of priorities.
* Project & Portfolio Management
* Lead regional technology projects and support enterprise-wide initiatives as part of the global project portfolio.
* Coordinate project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and execution activities to ensure successful delivery.
* Drive cross-functional collaboration across business and technology teams to achieve project objectives.
* Monitor project performance and communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership stakeholders.
Enterprise Applications & Systems Support
* Provide regional oversight and coordination for key business applications, including ERP, document management, maintenance management, EDI, OMS, access control, and other business-critical systems.
* Partner with Global IT teams to support system enhancements, integrations, reporting capabilities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Facilitate issue resolution, user adoption, and business process optimization across supported platforms.
* Coordinate regional requirements and provide business feedback to global application owners.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Information Technology roles.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience leading technology initiatives, projects, or cross-functional teams.
* Experience supporting manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, or consumer goods environments is highly preferred.
* Experience working within multinational organizations and partnering with global technology teams.
* Proven experience managing third-party vendors and technology service providers.
* Experience evaluating technology investments, business requirements, and operational improvement opportunities.
* Strong understanding of infrastructure, networking, enterprise systems, cybersecurity principles, and business applications.
* Proficiency in Syspro ERP and experience supporting ERP platforms and business-critical operational systems.
* Advanced English and Spanish communication skills, both written and verbal.
