key responsibilities:
* design and deliver engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
* foster a love of learning and reading across the school community by implementing innovative instructional methods and promoting literacy programs.
* promote school spirit and pride by actively engaging with students, staff, and parents to create a positive and inclusive environment.
* manage school activities and events, ensuring effective coordination among students, teachers, and support personnel.
* uphold the school's values and pillars, integrating them into daily practices and activities.
* ensure student and staff safety by establishing and implementing safety procedures, conducting regular drills, and maintaining a safe learning environment.
* collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans, assessments, and diagnostic tests.
* oversee the admissions process, ensuring transparency, equity, and alignment with high academic standards.
* develop and implement parent education programs to promote asfc's positive parenting strategies and school expectations.
* lead the social-emotional learning (sel) team in developing relevant curricula and implementing preventive and corrective practices to meet students' emotional and social needs.
* establish and maintain networks with other ib schools and international educational communities, advocating on behalf of the school and students in local and global contexts.
qualifications:
* master's degree or ph.d. in education, curriculum design, or a related field.
* minimum 2 years of teaching experience in middle or high school settings.
* proven track record of designing and delivering engaging lesson plans, fostering a love of learning, and promoting academic achievement.
* excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* knowledge of ib frameworks, curriculum design, and early childhood development principles.
* experience with sep compliance and parental engagement initiatives.
* passion for teaching and mentoring, with a commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.
