Waking up is looking for a creative marketing manager to bring our content and product to life across channels through thoughtful, high-quality execution. This role is for someone who thrives on making things, getting things done, and collaborating across teams to craft marketing moments that resonate.
You’ll play a central role in telling the story of waking up - from new content launches and teacher conversations to product features and seasonal campaigns. This role is ideal for a strong executor with creative instincts, project management skills, and a deep appreciation for clarity and good storytelling.
Video production & visual creative
- own and lead the creation of marketing videos, including ugc-style clips, trailers, testimonials, explainers, and evergreen brand assets - guiding contributors, shaping scripts, and overseeing delivery.
- coordinate shoots, interviews, or testimonials with internal team members, teachers, and external contributors.
- collaborate with internal designers, editors, and agency partners to bring campaigns to life visually and narratively.
- manage video post-production with internal tools or external editors - ensuring all final outputs are brand-aligned and platform-optimized.
✍️ copywriting & messaging
- maintain and evolve waking up’s brand voice & tone across formats, balancing clarity with depth.
- collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex or philosophical ideas into accessible, resonant messages.
Social media & content distribution
- own day-to-day management of social channels (instagram, tiktok, linkedin, youtube).
- manage waking up’s social media channels (instagram, tiktok, linkedin, youtube), focusing on visual and video-forward content.
- plan and publish content that aligns with what’s happening in the app, the world, and the company.
- monitor trends, respond to cultural moments, and adapt our social presence to expand reach while remaining brand-aligned.
Campaign execution & project management
- work cross-functionally to support launches, from creative briefs to live assets.
- manage timelines and keep collaborators aligned - ensuring content goes out the door on time and at a high standard.
- coordinate agency work streams, give actionable feedback, and ensure quality control on all creative outputs.
Performance & optimization
- track content performance and engagement across formats.
- share learnings and help improve what we make and how we tell stories based on results.
- evolve our formats, style, and storytelling based on what performs.

what you’ll bring
- 4+ years in content marketing, creative production, or brand storytelling roles.
- experience managing creative projects and working cross-functionally.
- comfort with video as a medium - whether writing scripts, producing ugc, or guiding post-production.
- exceptional writing skills and a proven ability to craft messaging that is clear, human, and voice-consistent.
- familiarity with digital marketing channels, especially lifecycle, paid social, and organic social.
- strong creative instincts and a collaborative spirit. You can take direction, give feedback, and make ideas better.
Nice to have
- experience in wellness, mindfulness, or mission-driven brands.
- light design/video editing experience (e.g., figma, capcut).
- familiarity with notion, clickup, or similar tools.
