About position
Responsible for developing and implementing Regional and Global Sourcing Strategies for assigned commodities with focus on meeting and exceeding cost reduction, quality, delivery and product launch goals for all SAF-HOLLAND manufacturing locations. Responsibilities may include regional or global project assignments. Establish relationships with Strategic Vendors to negotiate high quality materials at the lowest possible cost. Manages supplier evaluation and formal development process. In addition, the Commodity Manager will participate in cross-functional teams, account assignments, or be asked to provide leadership and mentoring to less experienced employees.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of experience
* Experience in direct material purchasing processes (Commodities: Metal forming, Machining, Springs, Packaging, raw materials, fittings, bearings, chemicals among others)
* Proficient in conversational English
* Experience handling international suppliers
* Management of agreements and contracts
* Cost reduction projects
* Ideally experience in manufacturing environment
* SAP Knowledge (S4/HANA), proficient excel and executive presentations skills
* Experience in spending and cost analysis,
* Strong negotiation and analytical skills, project management
* All level communication skills
