job description
we are seeking a health, safety and environment (ehs / hse) analyst / coordinator to join our manufacturing operations team. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as internal standards, promoting a safe, sustainable, and compliant work environment.
this position provides direct support to operations and plant leadership, actively contributing to the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of ehs management systems and fostering a strong culture of prevention.
key responsibilities
* develop, implement, and monitor health, safety, and environmental (ehs) policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with applicable legislation and corporate standards.
* conduct internal audits, plant inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and define corrective and preventive actions.
* ensure safe working conditions, proper use of personal protective equipment (ppe), and ergonomic compliance at workstations.
* investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses, documenting root causes and following up on preventive actions.
* support the preparation, update, and control of ehs documentation and legal requirements.
* coordinate and deliver safety and environmental training for employees and contractors.
* ensure compliance with iso 45001, iso 14001, iatf 16949, and iso 9001, as well as customer-specific automotive requirements.
* prepare ehs performance reports and key indicators for management.
* promote a safety culture through awareness campaigns and effective communication.
* collaborate with operations, quality, and human resources to integrate ehs practices across all work areas.
requirements
* technical degree or bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, industrial safety, or a related field.
* previous experience (4–6 years preferred) in ehs roles within industrial or manufacturing environments.
* knowledge of legal compliance, hazard identification and risk analysis.
* experience with iso 45001 and iso 14001 management systems (iatf 16949 is a plus).
* intermediate english, with the ability to maintain business-related conversations.
* strong communication skills, analytical mindset, and results-driven approach.
