The manufacturing learning & development specialist is an experienced training professional responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive training programs for manufacturing employees. This position involves collaborating with stakeholders, conducting training needs assessments, developing training strategies, and delivering high-quality training content. This role will also serve as a coach to newer specialists on the team.
role & responsibility lead the design and development of training programs for manufacturing employees (principal in welding area), incorporating adult learning principles, and utilizing a variety of instructional methods and technologies conduct comprehensive training needs assessments to identify skill gaps, performance improvement opportunities, and training priorities collaborate with subject matter experts, managers, and supervisors to define learning objectives, content, and evaluation criteria for each training program develop engaging and interactive training materials, including facilitator guides, participant workbooks, e-learning modules, videos, and job aids deliver and coordinate training sessions to manufacturing employees, ensuring the effective transfer of knowledge and skills, and providing coaching and feedback as necessary evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms, and make recommendations for continuous improvement mentor and support junior trainers, providing guidance on instructional design, delivery techniques, and training best practices stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes relevant to manufacturing training, and incorporate new approaches and methodologies as appropriate collaborate with the training manager to develop, coordinate training logistics, manage training records and documentation, and do follow up on kpis. job requirement bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent related experience minimum of 3-5 years of experience delivering training programs, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment in-depth knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and training methodologies strong proficiency in e-learning authoring tools, learning management systems (lms), multimedia software, and virtual training platforms excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage learners and deliver content effectively strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify training needs and develop targeted solutions as well as identify patterns and tendencies in historical data.
