we are looking for an *accountant.
* execute month-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
* perform and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and ensuring accuracy.
* support compliance with internal controls, sox requirements, and mexican tax regulations.
* collaborate with global rtr (record-to-report) teams in india to align processes and reporting standards.
* partner with payroll, tax, and plant operations teams to ensure accurate financial records and compliance.
* provide financial analysis to support operational decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
* monitor and analyze financial transactions related to maquiladora operations, ensuring compliance with local and corporate policies.
* utilize erp systems (sap or similar) for data management, reconciliations, and reporting.
* participate in internal and external audits, preparing documentation and supporting audit requirements.
* work closely with cross-functional teams (rtr, tax, payroll, plant operations) to resolve issues promptly.
* ensure proper accounting treatment of intercompany transactions, import/export activities, and maquiladora-specific cost structures.
* bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
* 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in rtr.
* proficient with english both listening and speaking is preferred.
* strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines effectively.
