role overview
we are seeking an email marketing manager, medical education to lead high-volume email marketing execution in support of premier dermatology conferences and digital continuing medical education programs.
this role is execution-first and email-led. You will own the planning, build, qa, and deployment of a large volume of email campaigns, while coordinating closely with internal teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and on-time delivery. Social content support and project management are secondary responsibilities that support the email channel.
this position requires exceptional attention to detail and comfort working within regulated environments, where accuracy, adherence to guidelines, and process discipline matter.
key responsibilities
email marketing execution
plan, build, and execute email marketing campaigns for live dermatology conferences, virtual programs, and digital medical education products
deploy approximately 40+ targeted email campaigns per month across multiple initiatives
use the iterable email platform to manage campaign setup, audience segmentation, qa, scheduling, and deployment
own end-to-end email execution, including proofreading, link testing, dynamic content validation, and final approval readiness
ensure all email communications adhere to cme (continuing medical education) standards, regulatory guidelines, and internal review requirements
segment and target distinct audiences within the dermatology community to maximize relevance and engagement
reporting and optimization
monitor and report on monthly email performance metrics including open rates, click-through rates, and engagement trends
identify opportunities to improve performance while maintaining compliance and content integrity
project management and cross-functional collaboration
manage multiple campaigns simultaneously across cme initiatives
maintain detailed timelines and ensure all deliverables meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy
collaborate closely with marketing, conference, and senior leadership teams to align messaging, timing, and approvals
serve as the primary point of coordination between internal stakeholders
social content support
support the coordination and scheduling of social content aligned with email campaigns and key marketing initiatives
ensure consistency and accuracy of messaging across email and social channels
ideal candidate profile
proven experience executing email marketing campaigns using a marketing automation platform such as iterable, mailchimp, hubspot, or salesforce marketing cloud
exceptional attention to detail and a track record of error-free, high-volume campaign execution
experience working within regulated or compliance-driven environments, preferably medical education, healthcare, or life sciences
strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously
experience with automation journeys, drip campaigns, and dynamic content is a plus but not required
comfortable working in a fast-paced, execution-focused environment
