*summary*: serve as a member of the unit leadership team focus on delivering local budget targets and executing lrp initiatives. Implement and support regional segment plans with local customers to drive bu level execution of regional strategies and operating plans.
*essential duties & responsibilities*:
- execute planned revenue, volume, pricing, portfolio management, contribution margin, and other critical p&l objectives for the business unit.
- work collaboratively with the local and regional leadership teams (customer marketing, r&d, supply chain.) to support local market execution
- assure the right set of high level relationships with our local customers while providing linkage between na/local customers.
- execute the unit targets on health & nutrition, sustainability and alternative protein.
- build and lead the unit level sales team. Lead people and organization planning efforts through focus on sales organizational design, people development, dib&e, performance management and succession planning.
- serve as local market champion to utilize our regional sales tools to drive local business.
- develop and maintain strong local customer relationship where needed.
- support organization and strategic management of complex sales presentations, proposals, rfps, contracts, and negotiations.
*qualifications*:
- bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related disciplines.
- 10 years’ experience in consultative sales and sales management.
- experience in leading teams, manage performance and developing individuals.
- exceptional track record of implementing sales strategies that consistently meet or exceed planned objectives.
- experience in sales of customized and portfolio product offerings and approach to creating these products using a multifunctional team approach.
- strong and proven organization and communications skills. Ability to think creatively to solve complex problems.
- strong financial analytical skills with proven ability to develop plans to meet targeted goals.
- demonstrated experience as a leadership team member that emphasizes collaborative decision making and a high degree of coordination between functions.
- ability to work well in a matrix management structure and engage critical stakeholders in decision making and execution. Leads through influence.
- fully bilingual (english & spanish).
- travel 50%.
