the position
position objective
leads, develops and ensures the execution of medical relationship strategies across specific oncology ecosystems, liaising between these institutions and medical experts in order to improve the patient journey and guarantee access to the best possible treatments. Gathers best practices and insights learned from related squads and articulates in an actionable way. Engages continuously with meps, pjps, hsps and other functional areas about medical strategy definition, monitoring and revision, identifying common needs and opportunities for synergy. Strategically engages with roche regional and global functions and communities.
responsibilities
* be an expert on the end-to-end patient journey to identify and capitalize on opportunities for improvement and optimization. Should have a deep understanding of the ta, pathology, treatments, and pipeline.
* focus on identifying insights related to institutional wows, patient journey, treatment protocols, and rwe. Share such insights with squads and the rest of the medical team.
* cocreate and develop cme (continuing medical education) programs.
* identify needs related to local data generation and foster rwe, local clinical studies, and publications.
* become an ambassador within the institutions to develop partnerships in the medical field.
* ensure excellent execution of oncology-related patient journey optimization action plans.
* advise about medical strategy definition, monitoring, and revising processes in order to shape the environment towards roche's vision.
* report insights, interactions, and activities in epicx. Achieve pre-set goals.
who you are
* expertise in medical technical skills and their application in different ecosystems in pursuit of the defined purpose and strategies.
* ability to foster skill and capability building as well as co-creation with a visionary understanding of what will be needed in the future.
* strong leadership & communication skills and able to work in a multi-disciplinary and cross-functional environment.
* strategic vision and systems thinker, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
background
* healthcare-related academic degree.
* effective, agile, fit-for-purpose leadership of cross-functional teams.
* significant medical pharmaceutical experience. Additional experience highly relevant including product management, access, and/or customer-facing roles with accountability for delivering results.
* good knowledge of compliance procedures and guidelines.
* desirable 3 years in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in the areas of oncology or immunology.
* desired experience as a clinical doctor with education in clinical research topics. Statistics education.
* education on topics relevant to the pharmaceutical industry (regulatory affairs, real world evidence (rwe), strategy).
* fluent in english/spanish.
