avery dennison is seeking a sr. Finance analyst to join the monterrey, mexico facility supporting the fastener solutions and performance tapes divisions. This role will execute fp&a activities for monterrey, as well as support the commercial organization by providing timely analytics regarding topline performance. The successful candidate will strive for continuous improvement in the divisions’ financial analysis tools and capabilities. Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, reporting, capital management, sg&a management, and serving as the primary finance contact for the site.
financial planning and analysis:
* complete month-end close activities with accuracy and timeliness, following documented procedures.
* prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to the sr. Finance manager and stakeholders.
* monitor key financial metrics, identify trends, and highlight risks or opportunities.
* provide insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions.
* support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
* ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
budget management:
* oversee the budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to develop realistic budgets.
* monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and recommend improvements.
* work with stakeholders to control expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resources.
* develop and implement budgeting policies and procedures for organizational consistency and efficiency.
business partnership:
* act as a trusted finance partner to business leaders, providing guidance and support.
* assist in evaluating business cases for new projects, product launches, and investments.
* foster effective communication and collaboration across departments to align financial and operational goals.
qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; cima, cfa, or cma is a plus. Requires 5-8 years of finance or related experience. Proficiency in financial software, excel, google scripts, power bi, sql, and related tools is desired. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and fluency in english and spanish are essential. Experience with mfgpro, cyberscience, hfm, and google is a plus.
