position objective

the account executive will be responsible for developing and growing customer accounts by executing sales of sensitech’s products, services and solutions to the food c&i exportation market in mexico. This includes, but not limited to, all the storage, transfer, distribution and exportation process done inside the mexican territory.

the account executive is responsible for searching, identifying, and capturing new sales opportunities for prospects and/or customers of sensitech. The account executive will be responsible for discovering, qualifying, negotiating and closing sales opportunities with existing and new customers in primarily in person. Remote, phone, email or virtual customer engagement would be the secondary method. The account executive will be responsible for introducing sensitech’s portfolio of cold chain solutions and services, including temperature monitoring, data as a service, professional services, to serve the customer’s business outcomes and establish sensitech as their preferred partner.

developing the installed base of customers and new accounts in mexico will be the primary focus, along with partnering internally with our refrigeration business unit also for aligned go to market.

functional responsibilities

food c&i mexico:


* qualify the customer account and assess their (operations, logistics, quality, procurement needs.) by customer to discover and define opportunities that sensitech can deliver by quarter and over the plan year.
* action oriented leader who will work to manage efficiently all the sales stages with each opportunity from discovery to close.
* develop, own and manage their sales plan within the food c&i market in mexico consistent with sensitech assigned revenue goals.
* present and demonstrate the benefits of sensitech products/services to existing and prospective customers.
* penetrate existing accounts at a high level and grow to maximum potential.
* identify and target new major accounts within your assigned territory & industries.
* manage the opportunity pipeline with salesforce.com crm application
* provide timely, monthly and accurate 90 day rolling revenue and collaborate with supply chain, client services and operations teams to have an accurate forecast
* provide activity reports regarding all sales activity for the previous week and planned activity for the following week.
* develop work-in-progress opportunities within the territory to a level three times the revenue goal to ensure that quarterly and annual plans are achieved.
* provide weekly activity reports and trip summary reports.
* provide a weekly operational report that includes revenue and forecast for the current month no later than every friday.
* provide a 12 month forecast of revenue by product type as requested.
* provide other reports as required by management

competences

* aggressive self-starter with a solid sales track record of outstanding sales performance.
* experience in searching and assessing customer needs to work together with technical support areas. Capable to deliver technical and commercial proposals, negotiate effectively to assure a win/win closing with customer. Real solution oriented salesperson.
* able to work with a limited amount of resource and make sound business decisions on behalf of sensitech
* able to manage their time effectively to maximize sales productivity
* american business experience, attitude, and habits. Right attitude amongst corporate colleagues and comfortable with business compliance and following precise instructions of his/her manager.
* ability to manage sales, customer and market challenges presented by competition and market dynamics in order to attain sales targets and objectives.
* must have proven experience selling to the food c&i industry in mexico. Good level of contacts inside the industry.
* highly motivated to reach challenging goals in short period of time.
* must be comfortable with having a 50% variable component to their compensation i.e. Sales commission

required qualifications

* experience in direct sales to customers, distributors.
* ability to listen and understand the customer’s commercial needs and position solutions that address the customer’s business outcomes.
* at least 10 years of proven success in sales career with quota carrying positions.
* bachelor’s degree in business or similar degree related to sales success.
* knowledge of professional sales through proven training courses in sales
* must speak in english.
* excellent verbal and written communication required to clearly convey ideas, concepts
* strong systems skills, ms excel, sales force (sfdc)

desirable qualifications

* knowledge in sap or similar erp.
* experience in similar industries.
