responsibilities
assist with sales/customer service
place and fulfill orders
receive and ship inventory
perform deliveries with a company vehicle
engage directly with customers/prospects and preferred metalworking manufacturers on a daily basis
drive the metalworking category top-line sales and profitability for a defined list of customers on a local scale
communicate key metalworking initiatives for customers to our network of metalworking specialists and branches
perform metal-working process mapping/facility assessments
offer internal and external metalworking-related training
lead, coordinate efforts and submit metalworking-related bids
qualifications
strong interest in professional development in the metalworking field
a bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) in mechanical, mechatronics, industrial, aerospace engineering or related fields—or relevant experience in the fastener industry
a valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements
intermediate to advanced english proficiency (conversational)
full-time availability
strong communication skills, both written and verbal
proficiency in microsoft office, especially excel
motivation, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
comfort with giving presentations and working with customers
willingness to travel up to 50%, including overnight trips
