This role focuses on strong vfx asset creation and unreal engine 5 work as part of an experienced, creative, and supportive team on various aaa titles. Responsibilities work with a collaborative team to mentor peers and foster skill-sharing. Create complex materials for characters, weapons, environments, and large world set pieces. Support all teams with blueprint management and setup for interactable items, weapons, environments, and other gameplay elements. Establish workflows and tools for other artists to utilize when making unique assets in unreal engine 5. Requirements a strong reel with recent work showcasing proficiency in technical art & vfx for video games (must submit to be considered). 2-3 years of technical art experience working in unreal engine 5 with blueprints. Ability to create art for visual effects, including fx concept, proto and final fx. Proficient in tools such as maya, 3ds max, photoshop, houdini and/or substance painter. Knowledge of pbr principles and material editors. Abilities in secondary areas such as modeling, skinning, animation, proceduralism, scripting or lighting.
