we are looking for a highly organized and analytical
about the role
we are looking for a highly organized and analytical logistics operations & planning coordinator to join our transportation management team. This role is responsible for planning and optimizing logistics routes, coordinating daily operations with carriers, and ensuring accurate and timely shipment tracking. The ideal candidate will also support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying automation opportunities and performance trends.
key responsibilities
* plan and optimize logistics routes to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
* coordinate with carriers to secure units and fulfill daily delivery plans.
* monitor shipment status from tendering to delivery and empty return, ensuring accurate updates in the transportation management system (tms).
* notify shippers and receivers of load status and reschedule appointments when necessary.
* maintain professional and timely communication with carriers, shippers, and receivers.
* track and follow up on carrier performance metrics; identify trends and propose improvement actions.
* manage detention notifications and communicate with relevant stakeholders.
* propose and support automation initiatives to streamline repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
* collaborate with internal teams to increase volume participation and improve service levels on assigned accounts.
* support internal reviews to identify key transportation providers and develop performance indicators.
basic qualifications
* 1–2 years of experience in logistics or transportation operations.
* 1–2 years of experience in customer service or client-facing roles.
* experience using tms platforms or shipment tracking systems.
* completed bachelor’s degree.
* intermediate english proficiency required (written and verbal) for email and customer service.
* intermediate excel skills.
preferred qualifications
* familiarity with dashboard or reporting tools.
* strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
