Manufacturing leader role
the ideal candidate will oversee a multi-function team responsible for safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance. This position reports to the plant manager and requires leadership skills to drive a culture of continuous improvement in all facets of the operation.
job responsibilities:
* partner with global management team to set production center goals and objectives that align with customer needs and business unit targets.
* manage matrix environment communication across quality, supply chain, customer service, and engineering teams.
* ensure health and safety regulations are met.
* collaborate with human resources to manage salary/hourly manpower, training, and development.
* implement world-class quality control mindset and standards.
* develop procedures to ensure manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently by monitoring planning, labor resources, tools, and equipment.
* facilitate effective gemba walks utilizing kpis to meet performance objectives and drive continuous improvement.
* provide leadership to junior staff including establishing objectives, setting goals, and managing accountability for attaining deliverables.
* manage production operation expenses and budgets for the production center.
* accountable for meeting and improving financial margins.
qualifications:
bachelor's degree in engineering in manufacturing, industrial, electronic, mechanical or related fields is required.
* fluent in spanish and excellent fluency in english able to carry elaborate business conversations and assessments.
* 5+ years' experience in management roles in a manufacturing environment is required.
* experience in operations management, cable and harness assembly, and lean methodologies is preferred.
* ability to work across the organization and various disciplines.
* conflict resolution and negotiating skills.
* self-directed, result-oriented, and strategic thinking.
* strong leadership and development skills.
* ms office and working knowledge of erp/mrp.
* able to travel.
* valid us visa.
