our client is a new york based cpa firm looking for an accountant who can help keep financial operations running smoothly for both our partners and our bookkeeping clients. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys working directly in the numbers, managing day‑to‑day accounting activities, and ensuring every financial detail is accurate.

what you'll do


support the partners

you’ll provide administrative support that helps our partners stay focused on serving clients and growing the business.

this includes:

* paying bills and managing routine financial obligations
* creating and sending invoices
* updating crm systems and maintaining accurate records
* managing schedules and administrative workflows
* assisting with client communications


manage day‑to‑day accounting operations

you’ll oversee daily bookkeeping activities for multiple clients, ensuring their financial records remain accurate, organized, and up to date.

your responsibilities will include:

* managing accounts payable (a/p)
* managing accounts receivable (a/r)
* recording and maintaining financial transactions in quickbooks
* monitoring financial activity and ensuring proper documentation


process financial transactions

accuracy matters.

you’ll be responsible for:

* preparing and issuing invoices
* recording financial transactions
* ensuring transactions are processed correctly and on time

reliable financial reporting starts with clean books.

you’ll:

* perform regular bank reconciliations
* investigate and resolve discrepancies
* ensure records are current and audit‑ready


prepare financial reports

you’ll help provide the information businesses need to make informed decisions.

this includes:

* preparing monthly financial reports
* reviewing financial statements for accuracy
* maintaining organized financial documentation
* supporting reporting requirements and financial analysis


what you bring


strong accounting knowledge

you have a solid understanding of accounting principles and can confidently manage the day‑to‑day financial operations of multiple clients.


quickbooks expertise

you are highly proficient in:

* quickbooks online
* quickbooks desktop

you know how to leverage both platforms to efficiently manage bookkeeping and accounting processes.


attention to detail

you take accuracy seriously and have a sharp eye for identifying errors, inconsistencies, and missing information.


strong communication skills

you can clearly communicate financial information, both verbally and in writing, to clients, partners, and team members.


organizational and multi‑tasking skills

you can manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast‑paced environment.


what we’re looking for

* hands‑on experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
* strong understanding of financial management and reporting
* experience working with multiple clients or accounts is a plus
* accounting degree or related educational background preferred
* equivalent professional experience will also be considered
