the baker hughes internship program is designed to enable students pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree to gain hands-on work experience as the foundation of their professional careers. Our internships provide first-hand insights into the processes, systems, and practices that ensure customer needs are met through flawless execution and the application of leading-edge technology.

you’ll participate in focused training, team meetings, work on projects, and present your results. During your internship, you will be supported by a buddy and your manager to ensure a valuable learning experience. You can expect coaching and mentoring to help you complete assignments and develop your skills.
you will also have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with baker hughes' health, safety, and environmental (hse) standards and culture, as well as our strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
the internship duration is from 6 to 12 months, starting january 2025 through july or december 2025.
as a field engineer, your responsibilities will include:
1. completing internal projects to deliver customer outcomes and identify business improvements.
2. collaborating with experienced engineers on field operations such as drilling, well testing, or equipment maintenance.
3. collecting and analyzing data from field activities to identify trends or issues and troubleshooting related to field operations and equipment.
4. inspecting and maintaining equipment to ensure proper functioning.
5. keeping detailed records and documentation of field activities, equipment inspections, and safety measures for compliance and future reference.
applying health, safety, and environment (hse) standards in all situations to ensure compliance.
fuel your passion
to succeed in this role, you should:
* be currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, technology, mechanics, or other stem-related fields.
* maintain a gpa of 2.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent in your country).
* be fluent in oral and written english with effective communication skills.
* be willing to relocate for the duration of the internship (locations vary).
* be legally authorized to work in the country of application without sponsorship or time restrictions.
